During the late 90s and early 2000’s Checkley was DJing electro & techno parties and was involved in the Detroit Ghettotech scene as graphic designer for Detroit’s Filthiest and DJ Godfather’s Databass and Juke Trax labels. He also toured and supported DJ Di’jital, DJ Godfather and Brian Gillespie of Starski & Clutch.

Watkins has a long history as an experimental minimalist musician working in video and sound art and has been producing, exhibiting and performing his work for over 20 years through many countries across the world.

The pair met at art school in the mid 90s and resumed working making work together in their art rock band The Hungry Eyes in 2010, which they gradually pared back to the pure electronics of Go Nuclear.

They debuted their well received live show at Auckland’s Whammy Bar at S.E.C.T in July 2019 Go Nuclear are currently working on their next split EP with Detroit’s Filthiest to be released on Bass Agenda Recordings, as well as other recording projects.
